Seth Armstrong is an artist based in Los Angeles. He is gained unprecedented popularity within the urban contemporary art scene for oil-based paintings of urban landscapes, portraits or in some cases, a combination of both. Seth’s works are featured in the URBAN NATION 2018 exhibition, ‘UN-DERSTAND The Power of Art as a Social Architect’.
Born in 1983 and raised in Los Angeles, Armstrong moved to the San Francisco, Bay Area to begin his artistic education and career, He later graduated with a BFA from California College of Arts. While studying abroad in Holland, he became enamoured with the palpable qualities of oil paints and the way that it captures light. The realistic, yet melodramatic feeling is down to a creative career as an illustrator. His work has added value to advertisements and promotions across the globe from Europe to North America, and has also been commissioned art at concerts for artists such as Jay-Z and Nicki Minaj.
