Will.i.am from the Black Eyed Peas spreads his success...
Big hearted R&B star Will.i.am recently spoke about the importance of giving something back once you have made it. The talented front man of the hit group The Black Eyed Peas has even started his own charity called the i.am scholarship which provides scholarships for underprivileged kids which allows them to go to college.
Will.i.am said: "It's one thing to make it - and you've got your own apartment, or house, or car - and you keep it for you. That's not making it. Making it is spreading it."
The thoughtful R&B singer and producer said that he realises that his success gives him a platform to help others and to allow them the privilege of an education they couldn’t otherwise afford. Four of the students in Will.i.am`s i.am scholarship Elijah Williams, Jaiquann Beckham, and brothers Darien and Barien White all nineteen years of age keep the star updated with their progress by email and recently attended one of the Black Eyed Peas concerts in their hometown as a reward for all of their efforts.
R&B star Will.i.am has also offered them a huge incentive to graduate of an all expenses paid vacation to anywhere in the world and he hopes to offer five new scholarships each year providing a wonderful opportunity for disadvantaged kids to get an education and build a future for themselves.
On the music front Will.i.am is currently busy in the studio with R&B star Usher Raymond working on tracks for his upcoming album Raymond V. Raymond. He is also working on the next Black Eyed Peas album provisionally titled The Beginning set to be released at the end of the year.
