R&B star Trey Songz talks Drake and solo success...
R&B superstar Trey Songz fresh from the phenomenal success of his smash hit album Passion, Pain & Pleasure selling 240,000 copies in its very first week took time out to reflect upon his solo success and that of his friend and long time collaborator rap star Drake too. The handsome R&B singer famous for his smooth R&B vocals, his smash hit R&B songs and his stylish R&B music videos also talked about cutting off his famous braids and developing a brand new style too.
Trey Songz said: "It was a decision for my life more so than my music. It was something that I had always wanted to do, but for my first two albums, it was about branding and it was about imagery."
The handsome R&B singer who`s collaborations with rap star Drake has taken them to the top of the charts also had words of praise for his friend Drake too.
Trey Songz said: "Drake is just a talented artist period. His debut album Thank Me Later has been a huge success but there is still a lot more to come from him."
On the music front Trey Songz`s fourth studio album Passion, Pain & Pleasure was released on September 14 2010 and this exciting album features collaborations with Hip hop star Nicki Minaj and Drake and the production talents of Mario Winans, Bei Maejor and long time collaborator Troy Taylor. The album has already spawned the hit singles "Bottoms Up" featuring Nicki Minaj and the sultry love ballad "Cant Be Friends" with its stunning R&B music video.
