Rapper Drake: Reveals I studied Nas for my album...
Hip hop star Drake who’s had a phenomenal rise to fame with the success of his smash hit mixtape So Far Gone which spawned the smash hit single “Best I Ever Had” is currently gearing up for the release of his debut album “Thank Me Later” which is set to be released on June 15th 2010. The talented rap star famous for his slick rhymes, his delicious rap songs and his stylish rap & hip hop music videos also reveals that he has been studying fellow rap sensation Nas whilst recording his new studio album.
Drake said: "I really studied Nas to be honest, Nas was like somebody that I used to listen to his raps and not really understand 'how' he did it, I always wanted to understand how he painted those pictures and his bar structure and all of that. I went back and really studied Nas, studied Andre 3000 for this album and I hope you like it."
And with influences such as Nas and Andre 3000 helping shape the sound of his new album what can fans expect of his debut album Thank Me Later then?
Drake said: "It's gonna be bigger, it's gonna sound happier. Yeah, it's gonna sound bigger, it's gonna sound victorious because that's where I am in my life."
Drake`s debut album Thank Me Later will include collaborations with long time friend R&B star Trey Songz, Hip hop superstar T.I, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, The-Dream, Swizz Beatz, Jay Z and R&B superstar Alicia Keys.
