Rap star and G-Unit member Lloyd Banks apologises to Ashanti... Rap star and G-Unit member Lloyd Banks showed his class when he recently offered an apology to beautiful R&B singer Ashanti for comments he made during the late 1990s as part of a the feud that 50 Cent had with rap star Ja Rule. The beautiful R&B singer famous for her smash hit R&B songs, her stylish R&B music videos and her smooth R&B vocals was targetted by Lloyd Banks because she was part of the Murder Inc record label in which Ja Rule was signed too.
During the ongoing feud at the time rap star Lloyd Banks even dissed Ashanti in one of his songs What Goes Around saying: "she had sideburns thicker than mine!"
But now it seems the rap star has mellowed and felt it only right to offer an apology to Ashanti which she was gracious enough to accept.
Lloyd Banks speaking to BET said: "I had a chance to talk to Ashanti over the telephone. I mean, my reasoning for apologising, I just felt like I should. Even at the time when we were going back and forth in that feud with Murder Inc., she wasn't speaking. She wasn't throwing shots or anything. I think if you're a part of the game then you should get played.
"At that time, she just was on the roster, so I just felt like it would be cool for me to just apologise for some of the things that were done in the past. Even though it was done in hip-hop, it wasn't anything personal. It just felt that I should do that."
So who says that there are no gentleman of rap huh? Well done Lloyd Banks for being a gentleman and apologizing to the lovely Ashanti.
