Jay Z set to perform charity gigs...
Hip hop superstar Jay Z is all set to perform two charity gigs at New York`s Carnegie Hall which will aim to raise money for the United Way of New York City and the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation which both helps low-income students in New York City to attend college. The legendary Hip hop superstar famous for his dazzling rhymes; classic rap songs and stunning Hip hop music videos also reveals his excitement at performing at such a prestigious venue too.
Jay Z said: “It’s every artist’s dream to play a venue as legendary as Carnegie Hall. The fact that I can use the arts and my talent to benefit the education of the next generation of artists, entrepreneurs, and great thinkers makes for a legendary night. I’m proud to be a part of the continuing work of United Way of New York City and expanding the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation.”
These historic concerts which will take place at Carnegie`s Stern Auditorium on February 6 2012 at 8.00 pm and February 7 2012 at 9. 30 pm are expected to raise millions of dollars for these worthwhile charities.
On the music front look out for Jay Z to release his highly anticipated twelfth studio album in 2012. This highly anticipated disc is set to feature high profile collaborations with Pharrell Williams amongst others and Jay Z is expected to release the first single with a stunning Hip hop music video in spring 2012.
Jay Z`s last studio album the excellent “The Blueprint 3” album hit the stores in 2009 and featured collaborations with Kanye West, Rihanna, Alicia Keys & Timbaland. The album also spawned the excellent singles & Hip hop music videos “D.O.A (Death Of Auto-Tune), “Run This Town” featuring Kanye West & Rihanna, the classic “Empire State Of Mind”, “Onto The Next One” & “Young Forever”.
