Hip hop star and rap legend Jay Z recently talked about his favorite albums of all time and he mentioned Michael Jackson`s legendary Off The Wall album as one of his personal favorites. The talented rap superstar known for his delicious rhymes, his classic rap songs and his cool rap & hip hop music videos says that Michael Jackson`s first solo album Off The Wall released in 1978 was timeless and a truly classic record.

Jay Z said: “Off The Wall was one of those albums that was timeless, that didn't have a genre, It was colorless. It was ageless, like me and my mom listen to it. I listen to it.

"It was just like one of those things that the whole family listened to. I think it was a perfect album."

Jay Z added: “I think 'Thriller' although was the biggest album, you know had huge records, but these records that were on 'Off the Wall' were so timeless and emotional.”

Michael Jackson`s incredible album Off The Wall featured the classic R&B songs “Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough” and “Rock With You” as well as the delicious Rod Temperton title track “Off The Wall”. Other notable songs include the beautiful “She’s Out Of My Life”, the funky Michael Jackson penned “Working Day And Night” and the delicious “Burn This Disco Out” another Rod Temperton composition.

Hip hop superstar Jay Z`s latest album Blueprint 3 released on September 8 2009 debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 Album charts selling 476,000 copies in its first week of release. It would give Jay Z his eleventh number one album breaking the record he shared with rock and roll legend Elvis.

Jay Z`s Blueprint 3 album has also spawned the huge hit single “Empire State Of Mind” featuring R&B sensation Alicia Keys.
