Drake shows his admiration for Eminem and Jay Z...
Hip hop star Drake recently spoke about his admiration for fellow rap stars Eminem and Jay Z saying that he admires them for being truly great artists and for building a fan base which makes them truly iconic rap artists.
The talented rap star famous for his delicious rhymes; his classic rap songs and his cool rap & hip hop music videos said that he hopes one day to emulate these artists and to be considered a great artist himself with the same loyal following.
Drake said: "It so rare that an artist comes along in our generation and has a loyal following no matter what- I think Eminem has it" Drake continued "I think Jay Z also has it even though his career has never faltered enough for him to test his fans loyalty. Jay is almost like the perfect guy. Eminem has been through his ups and downs and his fans have still stayed loyal to him"
Drake added: “This is the sign of a truly great artist”.
Drake who has worked with both rap superstars seems destined himself for the same type of loyalty from his fans as the aforementioned rap superstars. And if he continues to produce classic Rap and R&B songs like "Best I Ever Had" and "Forever" then perhaps in time he too will receive the same type of iconic status too.
Drake`s debut album Thank Me Later is set to be released on June 15 2010 and is set to feature collaborations with Hip hop superstar Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Young Jeezy, Jay Z and R&B superstar Alicia Keys.
Hip hop star Drake is also set to feature on albums by Sean “Diddy” Combs on his Last Train To Paris album project, on Jamie Foxx`s upcoming album Best Night Of My Life, on Rihanna`s Loud album and T.I`s seventh studio album No Mercy album.
