R&B music sensation Chris Brown recently spoke about his headline grabbing BET tribute performance to the late great King Of Pop himself Michael Jackson at the recent BET Awards ceremony. The stylish R&B singer famous for his incredible stage performances; his smash hit R&B songs and his cool R&B music videos insisted his MJ tribute performance on the BET Awards Show in 2010 was the ultimate apology to his fans for lettting them down for that infamous incident with his ex girlfriend R&B singer Rihanna.
The talented R&B singer put in a sizzling emotionally charged performance finally breaking down in tears during the finale for Michael Jacksons classic song "Man In The Mirror". Many felt that the star was simply overcome by emotion on that night because the songs lyrics made him reflect upon his own personal battle to become a better person after his fall from grace. And although he has apologised many times for the incident Chris Brown insisted that his BET tribute performance to Michael Jackson was the ultimate apology.
Speaking on TV show 106 & Park on Tuesday, Chris Brown said, "When I heard (Jackson song) ‘Man In The Mirror’, it just touched me. It wasn't fake. I know people were trying to put extras on it, but everything was genuine. That was my ultimate apology, hands down."
And there was one more thing that contributed to Chris Browns emotional performance of the Jackson classic "Man In The Mirror"
Chris Brownsaid: "A lot of people don't know, I was going to see Michael Jackson the day he died. I was on my way to the Staples Center (in Los Angeles) that day."
