Beautiful R&B superstar Alicia Keys recently spoke about the impact that the late great King Of Pop Michael Jackson had on her as a young child dreaming about a career in the music business. The talented R&B singer famous for her smooth soulful vocals, her delicious R&B songs and her stylish R&B music videos remembers going to see a Michael Jackson concert and being overwhelmed by the excitement of the whole occasion.

Alicia Keys said: “The first concert I ever attended was Michael Jackson and I think it was like the reunion tour or something because he had all his brothers with him, and it was like a big, huge deal. There were all these ambulances everywhere and I was like, ‘Mommy, who’s sick?’

"I didn’t understand the fact that in just a few hours grown men would be fainting at this concert. It was just incredible to see that level of performance so young. That was a great first concert to go to.”

She added: “I think Michael Jackson has influenced every performer on the face of the earth. What he really inspired me to do and influenced me to do is my best, and I feel like what he represented is quality and craftsmanship with his performance.

"He was one of the best performers of all time and it was because he put in work, he put in time, he was creative, and he wanted to be the best. When I go up [on stage] and when I arrange my show, that’s exactly the mind state that I have.”

Since her childhood of course Alicia Keys has gone onto attain super stardom and success in her own right becoming one of the few genuine urban music superstars around. From her debut album Songs In A Minor released in 2001 to her latest album The Element Of Freedom released in 2009 Alicia Keys has demonstrated an incredible ability to write great songs. From the tender melodic “Fallin” to the amazing “Empire State Of Mind” this Grammy Award winning artist has continued to grow as a performer and a music artist.

R&B star Alicia Keys is also set to collaborate with Hip hop legend Jay Z on a new version of her song “Empire State Of Mind” set to be included on Jay Z`s Blueprint 3 Album.
