R&B star Akon has album release party for his new album Akonic...
R&B superstar Akon is back! The talented R&B singer finally returns after a two year break with his a new album provisionally entitled Akonic and to celebrate this exciting news Akon decided to throw an exclusive launch party for his new album. So the stage was set at the luxurious venue the MPD Club in NYC where Devyne Stephens the man credited with discovering Akon and the vice president of of Akon`s Konvict Muzik record label was on hand to over see the proceedings. Among the invited guests sipping the finest champagne to celebrate this wonderful occasion was Universal Motown President Sylvia Rhone, DJ Envy, Shontelle and Maino and near the end of the party the star himself Akon turned up to thank all the well wishers and to greet his guests thanking them for coming and supporting him on this special night.
Akon famous for his infectious R&B songs, his cool collaborations with artists such as Eminem and T-Pain and his stylish R&B music videos had orginally planned to call the album Stadium Music but after much thought he decided to call the album Akonic. Much is expected of this album after the huge successes of Akons previous albums and although the album has more of a european disco feel to it and so is a departure from Akon`s usual sound our sources tell us that there will still be some hot tracks on there to satisfy Akons millions of fans. Check out the album yourself as its scheduled to drop in 2011.
