Tinchy Stryder signs with Jay Z`s Roc Nation...

The big story in UK Hip hop music at the moment is the exciting news that UK rapper Tinchy Stryder is set to go into business with Jay-Z at Roc Nation.

In it’s first European venture, Roc Nation have signed Tinchy’s management company. The new leg of the company will be called Takeover Roc Nation and will release records with Sony Music and tickets with Live Nation.

This deal sees Tinchy Stryder in a management guise rather than performer and so it should be interesting to see what develops in terms of successful artists over the next few years as Tinchy and Jay Z look to find, develop and promote new artists as part of their agreement.

Tinchy met Jay Z [along with Beyonce and Drake] face to face for the first time on Monday in Manchester, where Jay-Z was headlining the MEN Arena
