Curtis James Jackson III better known as 50 Cent is a multi award winning multi platinum Hip hop artist from New York City. Voted number six in the artist of the decade poll by Billboard magazine for 2000-2009 this rapper has truly become a global superstar. With 50 Cent songs such as “In Da Club”, “Candy Shop” and “Window Shopper” and recent hit “Baby By Me” becoming worldwide hits and the accompanying 50 Cent videos becoming smashes too 50 Cent seems to be one of the genuine worldwide rap superstars. Check out the video above for 50 Cents classic debut single "In Da Club" directed by Philip Atwell over two days in December 2002. It was to give 50 Cent a worldwide smash. It also featured rap superstars Dr Dre and Eminem in the video too.

50 Cent started his recording career after sending a CD to Eminem. Eminem was so impressed that he invited 50 Cent over to Los Angeles where he was introduced to Dr. Dre and as a result he was offered a one million dollar recording deal. His first commercial album release was “Get Rich Or Die Trying” which was classic 50 Cent. Apart from having classic 50 Cent songs. The first 50 Cent music video for “In Da Club” was played massively on rotation on MTV thus creating a truly global superstar. The album sold 872,000 copies in four days making it one of the biggest selling albums of the year. Other classic 50 Cent songs and 50 Cent music videos were to follow including “P.I.M.P”. 50 Cent would also release a soundtrack for his film entitled "Get Rich Or Die Trying" and one of the videos "Window Shopper" is featured above. The video was filmed in Monaco and shows 50 Cent and his friends buying various expensive items. "Window Shopper" was the most successful release from the soundtrack album giving 50 Cent a top 20 hit on the Billboard charts in the US.

 
 
 
 
The next 50 Cent album to be released was entitled “The Massacre” which sold 1.4 million copies in four days of release and peaked at number one in the Billboard Top 100 charts. Once again it spawned classic 50 Cent songs “Candy Shop” and “How we do”. Check out the classic video for 50 Cent`s "Candy Shop" above featuring Rnb singer Olivia. The video was directed by Jesse Terrero in January 2005 and was shot in Hollywood California. This video also features cameo performances from Lloyd Banks, Lil Scrappy and Young Buck. A new album quickly followed entitled “Curtis” and this debuted at number two in the Billboard Top 100 and sold 691,000 copies in its first week of release. Its debut single was entitled "Ayo Technology" and featured Justin Timberlake and Timbaland and again this was a smash hit and produced and equally successful 50 Cent video too which was heavily featured on MTV.

More success was to follow in the shape of 50 Cents latest offering entitled “Before I self Destruct” released in September 2009. The first single is the catchy “Baby By Me” featuring Rnb superstar Ne-Yo which features a sample from an earlier 50 Cent song called “I Get Money”. This gave 50 Cent another hit song and another 50 Cent music video which received huge airplay. More 50 Cent songs and more 50 Cent videos are planned for release in 2010 on an album which has already been certified Gold after selling 500,000 copies. Check out the smash hit 50 Cent music video "Baby By Me" featuring Rnb superstar Ne-Yo and a guest video appearance by Destinys Childs Kelly Rowland. The video was shot in mid October 2009 and features Kelly Rowland as 50 Cents love interest. It was directed by Chris Robinson and was filmed in Los Angeles California though Ne-Yo`s part was shot in New York due to work commitments.
